The event was successfully organized on the date mentioned above. Dr.RitwikMondal, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad delivered an Invited Lecture in the seminar. Dr.SamuMahali, Principal Sitananda College was Chief Patron of the event. Dr.Soumya Jana, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Sitananda College was the convener and Prof. HimanshuHazra, H.O.D. , Department of Physics, Sitananda College, Nandigram was the Joint-Convener of the event. Sourav Panda, SACT teacher of Department of Physics, MugberiaGangadharMahavidyalaya was present in the seminar.The event is dedicated to the 75years of completion of Independence of India (AzadikaAmritMahotsav). There were 82 registered participants who attended the the event with full enthusiasm. Participants included respected teachers of Sitananda College from various departments, present and past students of Sitananda College.Prof. Mondal is Internationally established scientist, awartded with prestigious Alexendervon-Humboldt fellowship. His research areas include Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics, particularly, magnetism and spintronics ,Terahartzspintronics, etc. He presented an exciting popular lecture on “Light on Einstein and Einstein on Light” telling the history, especially the contribution of Einstein in understanding the quantum nature of light.
