About The Department

Education is the manifestation of perfection already in man – Swami Vivekananda.

Of course, General Degree Course was introduced then and this continued till 2001. In the year 2002 Hons. course is introduced in the college challenging many obstacles and difficulties. Being a rural college, almost all students come from Bengali medium school. The Department is committed to provide the best possible education to the learners not only to read, write and speak in English but also to make them complete human being in future through their holistic development. The Department promises to nurture and nourish the intellectual faculty of the pupil; open up their cultural and humanistic vision and above all to make them upright with their acquired knowledge and skill to fight against all sorts of odds and oddities and find a victory and jubilation at the end. The motto of the Department is ‘to strive, to seek, to find and not to yield’.
